Stop brute-force attacks on staff logins

The core of RiseGuard is a set of configurable Brute Force Settings that you tune to your own policy. Define the thresholds and the module enforces them automatically, shutting down repeated login attempts before they can compromise an account:

• Max login retries before an account is locked
• Lockout period that temporarily blocks further attempts
• Max lockouts and an extended lockout for persistent offenders
• Password reset retries to curb reset abuse
• Max email sendings so attackers cannot flood your mailer

Restrict access with IP and user blacklists

Beyond login throttling, RiseGuard lets you block unwanted traffic outright. Create IP, IP range, and user blacklists to keep specific addresses and accounts away from your installation entirely, giving you direct control over who is allowed to reach the CRM.

Reports and real-time monitoring

The Reports section gives you detailed visibility into what is happening at your login screen. RiseGuard records login attempts, lockouts, and password resets, so you can monitor your installation and detect suspicious activity in real time, catching threats as they unfold rather than after the damage is done.

Requirements

RiseGuard takes only a couple of minutes to install and activate. The single server prerequisite is that PHP’s allow_url_fopen setting is enabled. Most hosting providers turn this on by default, but if yours does not, it needs to be set to ON in your PHP configuration.
